On April 11, 2024, China Science and Technology Innovation (Beijing) Science and Technology Achievement Evaluation Center organized experts to hold a scientific and technological achievement evaluation meeting of the "Research and development and application of Key technologies for the creation and efficiency improvement of green pepper varieties in dry and hot Valley" completed by Zhaotong Forestry and Grassland Science Research Institute and other units in Kunming。The experts reviewed the information provided by the project side, listened to the technical summary report, and formed the following opinions after questioning, answering questions and discussing:
First, the project results are complete, standardized, and full of data, which meet the requirements of scientific and technological achievements evaluation。
2. The project has carried out relevant technical research and development for the problems of lack of excellent varieties of green Zanthoxylum in the dry and hot valley mountain, low yield, uneven quality, serious harm of diseases and insects, and high cost of harvesting。The main innovations are as follows:
1. Selected and bred the green pepper variety "Mingfeng 1" with independent intellectual property rights.。
2. Created the pruning technology of dry and hot valley mountain green pepper。Through the key techniques of pruning and shaping in four seasons, such as plugging tips and promoting buds in spring, pruning and picking peppers in summer, flattening branches in autumn and removing thin and dense branches in winter, the high yield and stable yield of green pepper were achieved。
3. Established the technical system of green pepper from seedling cultivation, low-yield forest transformation, disease and pest control to harvesting and drying, and standardized the efficient production technology of green pepper in the dry-hot valley mountain。

The project selected and bred 1 good forest seed;Formulate 6 local standards;3 authorized utility model patents;Published 5 scientific and technological papers;A total of 3 national and provincial local experts;1 Yunnan Province 10,000 planned industry leader;3 professional and technical personnel with outstanding contribution from Yunnan Province;Yunnan Province technology innovation talent training object 1 person;Zhaotong City, 2 high-level leading talents。
Fourth, in Zhaotong City, Qujing, Lijiang and other dry and hot river valley areas to promote the application 62.30,000 mu, 2021-2023 a total of new sales of 33.600 million yuan, a new profit of 18.700 million yuan, Zhaotong and even Yunnan pepper industry development to provide important technical support, economic, social and ecological benefits are significant。
In summary, the expert group agreed that the project has reached the domestic leading level in the creation of green pepper varieties and four seasons pruning and shaping technology, and has generally reached the domestic advanced level。
